Sunday Drive Makes Dad's Day

DAPTO Showground was a popular place to spend Father's Day, with plenty of dads and kids turning out for Dapto Fair.

Chamber of Commerce president Ian Fitzgibbon said the fair's success was due to the quality of stalls, the community spirit, and sticking to its goal of providing a fun and inexpensive day out.

"The community has enjoyed it, and that's our aim," Mr Fitzgibbon said. "Last year it was rained out ... which was really disappointing.

"We like to think of it as a day out for Dapto, and a celebration of who we are, because we are proud of who we are.

"It's a chance for the chamber to put something on for the community and promote Dapto as an area that's growing and prospering."
